Post/Trade	Qualification and Experience
Technician (Mechanical)	Diploma in Engineering (full time & regular) in the relevant trade by passing the prescribed Test (Trade & Written) and the Certificate should have been issued by the concerned Board of Technical Education/Institute, if the qualification was acquired before joining the Armed Forces. OR Diploma in Engineering in the relevant trade awarded by Indian Air Force/Indian Army/ Indian Navy. The Diploma awarded needs to be after undergoing the prescribed training and passing the required examination specified by the Armed Forces wherein the candidates have undergone the training. Minimum 2 years of working experience in Aircraft Maintenance

Technician (Communication)	Diploma in Engineering in Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication Trade or equivalent. Having work experience on Operation & maintenance of Ground Communication navigation & surveillance aids will be preferred.
Fireman	Ex-Servicemen with PUC/Intermediate OR SSLC + Ex-Servicemen (Combatant) with 3 years experience (considered as equivalent to PUC/Intermediate) + Minimum three months basic Fire Fighting course certificate + Valid Heavy Vehicles Driving License

HAL Technician & Fireman age limit (as on 25-05-2024) -
The maximum age limit for technician and fireman post is 28 years, Ex-servicemen candidates receive extended 03 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age.

How to calculate age for Ex-servicemen -

Age = Actual Age - Years of Service - 3 Years of Relaxation

मान लीजिये की आपकी age 42 साल है और आपने 15 साल सर्विस की है और 3 साल तक की छूट है |
Age = 42-15-3 = 24
आपकी age 24 बनती है, यानिकि आप इस technician & fireman job के लिए apply कर सकते है।
