SBI Clerk Vacancy 2025: Reservation for Ex-servicemen

Total Vacancies: 5180 (Approx.)
Reservation for Ex-servicemen (XS): 10% (1500+)
Additional Reservation: 4.5% for Disabled Ex-servicemen & Dependents of Martyrs

SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria for Ex-Servicemen

Age Limit: 20 to 28 years as on 01.04.2025

Age Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen:
Actual period of service rendered + 3 years (Max age: 50 years)
SC/ST Ex-Servicemen: Additional relaxation up to 8 years

Educational Qualification:
Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university
OR
Matriculate Ex-servicemen with Indian Army Special Certificate of Education (with 15+ years of service) are also eligible.

SBI Clerk Selection Process

Preliminary Examination – 100 Marks (Online)
Main Examination – 200 Marks (Online)
Local Language Proficiency Test – Applicable for those not having studied the local language
Final Selection – Based on performance in the Main Examination

SBI Clerk Salary 2025

Basic Pay: ₹26,730/-
Total Emoluments (Metro City): Approx. ₹46,000/- per month
Includes DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, etc.
SBI also provides Medical, PF, Pension (NPS), LFC, and Insurance benefits and Pay protection

Q1. What is the educational qualification for SBI Clerk post?
Candidates must be graduates in any discipline. Matriculate Ex-servicemen with 15+ years of service and Army Special Certificate are also eligible.

Q2. What is the age relaxation for Ex-servicemen?
Up to 50 years (depending on actual years of service). SC/ST Ex-servicemen may get up to 8 years extra.
